Have you ever asked yourself that question?
How will YOU be remembered?
What will people say about you, your character, your values, your ethics?
How did you treat other people, your family, your friends, strangers, pets?
What do you want your legacy to be?
I think about this question quite a bit. I think I really started to focus on it while I was in the hospital after my accident in 2015 when I almost lost my life.
Now more than ever, with all the uncertainty in the world we should ask ourselves that question. It's so easy to become bitter and resentful for things that are out of our control.
I prefer to be BETTER instead of bitter!
Yes we are challenged these days and it can sometimes feel like a chore to be happy or productive....but that's a choice.
What you do and how you act today will change the course of your tomorrow.
It's never too late to decide to be better. Think about your legacy and how you want to be remembered....what did you represent while you were here on earth?
Were you of service to others, did you give without the expectation of getting back, did you extend a hand to someone when they were in need, did you simply smile and say hello to a stranger or do you walk past with your head down, are you looking for a kickback when someone asks for a favour?
What legacy will you leave for your kids or your family to follow....is your vision to leave the world a better place?
Mine starts with gratitude and humility...that's the undertone of everything that I do and that I teach my kids. If those words are uttered about me in my final day then I will have rest peacefully knowing that I honoured my personal obligation.
How Will YOU Be Remembered?
